At KBTG, we operate enterprise-level data platforms and processes that support critical banking operations, regulatory reporting, and business analytics. As a Data Operation, you will play an important role in ensuring the stability, accuracy, completeness, security, and timely delivery of critical data processes.
You will be responsible for end-to-end monitoring and operation of Data Pipelines, Batch Jobs, ETL/ELT processes, and data workflows. You will also act as the First Tier Support for data-related incidents, proactively identify potential issues, coordinate with technical teams, and ensure incidents are resolved within agreed service levels.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Monitor and operate enterprise Data Pipelines, Batch Jobs, Scheduled Jobs, and Data Workflows supporting banking business functions on an end-to-end basis.
- Track job execution status, including Success, Failure, and Delay, and manage alerts in alignment with SLR/SLA, business cut-off times, and regulatory timelines.
- Utilize monitoring, logging, and investigation tools such as Control-M, Power BI, Azure Databricks, and other enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Ensure operational stability and availability of data services in production environments.
- Validate data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness from Batch Jobs and ETL/ELT processes supporting business and regulatory use cases.
- Analyze trends related to job failures, performance degradation, and recurring data issues to proactively prevent potential incidents.
- Quickly resume affected processes and mitigate operational impacts to minimize business disruption.
- Design, maintain, and enhance Data Readiness and Operational Dashboards to support production batch job onboarding and monitoring.
- Act as First Tier Support for data-related and batch processing incidents affecting banking operations.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues such as job failures, missing or delayed data, schema/source changes, network issues, permission issues, and access control problems.
- Perform initial Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and prepare Incident Reports, RCA documentation, and Lessons Learned.
- Escalate incidents appropriately based on impact severity and banking incident classification.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual operational tasks, minimize human error, and improve system reliability.
- Maintain and continuously update Runbooks, Playbooks, and Operation Manuals in accordance with operational standards.
- Support the adoption of DataOps best practices aligned with control, auditability, and risk management principles.
- Collaborate with Business/Analytics, Data Engineering/Development, Platform/Infrastructure/Cloud, and other related teams to resolve issues and improve data operations.
- Communicate incident status clearly and consistently and take end-to-end ownership until resolution within agreed timelines.
- Continuously improve data operation processes, operational efficiency, reliability, and service quality.
- Work effectively in a 24x7 operational support environment, including on-call support when required.
What You'll Set You Up for Success
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Engineering, or related fields.
- 2–5 years of experience in Data Operations, Data Platform, IT Operations, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of Batch Processing, ETL/ELT, Data Pipelines, and Orchestration Tools in enterprise environments.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and operational analysis.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting production systems with SLA or regulatory constraints is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills with attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage operational issues within defined service levels.
- High level of responsibility and discipline when working in a regulated environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
