Job Summary
The Senior IT Operations Engineer will be responsible for supervising, analyzing, and supporting junior colleagues and teams to enhance IT-related operations, ensuring the seamless functioning of organization technology infrastructure as well as proactively identifying areas for improvement and optimization in IT infrastructure and operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact:

- Identify areas to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of IT operation through optimized and efficient people, process, and technology.
- Give counsel and guidance for bringing IT operational system to be used in conjunction with the application and other system.
- Supervise, identify, and support team in designing, improving, and developing IT operation processes for continuous efficiency.
- Initiate improvement across batch and backup management, operation management, and IT resiliency.
- Supervise and enhance backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and adherence to recovery point objectives (RPOs) and recovery time objectives (RTOs).
- Supervise and ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of all IT systems and applications, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
- Support and perform the scheduling and execution of batch jobs to ensure they run efficiently and meet business needs.
- Supervise and assess system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance optimization strategies.
- Monitor the performance of IT systems, proactively identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, guiding the resolution process and minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with personnel responsible to develop playbooks or work instruction, to improve proactive-incident handling, reduce overall incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize IT needs, ensuring technology solutions align with business requirements.
What Will Set You Up for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years related work experience in IT service or IT operations.
- Understanding concept of IT operation management and technology which is being used and utilized as fundamental.
- Understanding of IT networks, operation, security, cloud technologies, batch processing tools, scheduling software, recovery solutions, including data replication and off-site storage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset to address complex technical challenges.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Effectively work under pressure and to agreed deadlines and targets.
- Outstanding multitasking skills, capable of efficiently managing multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Background in technology industry, banking or financial services business is an advantage.
- Certified in ITIL, CompTIA, CISSP, CCNA, or equivalent is an advantage.
