MAKE by KBank is seeking a Business Development to spearhead the setup and commercialization of our new lending business. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in building a lending portfolio from the ground up (0-to-1 phase), with a strong understanding of both commercial strategy and credit risk foundations.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Business Setup & Strategy:
- Lead the "Setting Up" phase of the lending business, defining the commercial roadmap and go-to-market strategy specifically for the initial launch.
- Identify key priorities for product launch to ensure sustainable growth and market penetration.
Organizational Design:
- Design and setup the organizational structure required for a new lending unit.
- Identify key roles and functions needed to support the business operation from day one.
Credit Risk & Scoring Foundation:
- Oversee the foundation of the credit scoring framework.
- Prioritize and advise on the implementation of scoring models (Application Score, Behavior Score, Collection Score), understanding which metrics matter most during the early stages of the business.
What Will Set You Up for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in business development and any related.
- Extensive experience in Personal Loans or related lending products.
- Must have proven experience in the "Setting Up" phase of a lending business or a new product line (Greenfield project experience is highly desirable).
- Background in Business Development, Partnerships, or Strategy is highly preferred.
- Experience designing and executing go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing teams.
- Previous experience from leading Fintechs or specialized Non-Banks is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end lending lifecycle.
- Ability to balance commercial targets with risk management (Credit Scoring logic).
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
